On September 1, 2023 the City of New York will discontinue current retiree health plans in favor of a new Medicare Advantage plan. You have the option to opt-out and obtain a Medicare Supplement plan.

The purpose of these webinars is to educate and provide information about healthcare options, specifically focusing on Medicare Supplemental plans. These webinars are completely free and will start on May 31st. By attending these webinars, you will be able to make well-informed decisions regarding your healthcare coverage.

What if I don’t want to participate in the given Medicare Advantage plan?
If you have chosen to opt out of your Medicare Advantage plan and prefer traditional Medicare coverage, you can enroll in a Medicare supplement starting June 1, 2023. It is essential to be aware that you are unable to enroll in a supplement plan until 90 days before the start date of the plan’s coverage.
Your new Medicare Supplement plan will start on September 1, 2023.
