The U.S. government just announced that starting early spring, citizens enrolled in Medicare can get over-the-counter COVID-19 test kits for free announced by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Following the increase in cases due to the Omicron variant this past month, the Biden Administration created a plan that allows a maximum of eight over-the-counter at-home tests to be allotted per person each month for free.
Those with Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans are eligible through participating pharmacies and apply to COVID-19 over-the-counter tests approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
